Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you based?
I work in Leamington Spa town centre. Please contact me for session availability.
How much does a session cost?
My fees are £60 per session, with a session lasting 60 minutes.
How many sessions will I need?
This really varies between client to client and ultimately depends on your aims and objectives for therapy. We can discuss this in your initial session. Short, medium and long term therapy is available.
What if I no longer want to continue with the therapy?
There is no obligation to continue with the therapy and you are free to end at any time. I would encourage that you discuss this with me first as the way I work is relational and making decisions together, even if it's that therapy isn't right for you, is important.
What is the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?
The term Psychotherapy is often used interchangeably with Counselling as both are talking therapies. Psychotherapy focuses on working with clients for a significant time period, considering overall patterns, chronic issues, and recurring feelings. This requires openness to exploring the past and its impact on the present. Counselling may be for a specific issue such as a bereavement or significant life event, and the work together may be shorter and more focused. With both counselling and psychotherapy the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and safe.
